I have an extensive collection of Wilson Bentley photographs and Emphera that I would like to sell. Below is a list of what is included in that offering. I will be placing this up for auction on ebay within the week.

106 Snowflake photographs - single snowflakes
17 Snowflake photographs that were cut into the shape of a circle (that is the way I received them) Actual photo not harmed - it's just not regular size.
1 Snowflake montage picture - it was also cut out and in the shape of a circle.
89 Cloud photographs
4 - multi snowflake photographs
17 winter scenes
28 - frost photographs
46 - dew and weather (hail, raindrop, etc...)
1 - Bentley's house photograph
2 - Bentley's rock collection with family (?) around collection
1 - Large frost pic
1 - Superior school Vermont pic (Bentley as young school boy?)

313 total pics

The following items were from the home of Mrs. Alric Bentley - Maiden
Name was Mary Brunell - see page 159 of the Biography. Home was in Winooski,
Vermont.

Paper back Snow Crystals book

The Snowflake Man Biography with the following inscription inside from the
author:
To Helen Poirrant, with thanks for the wonderful stories you told me about
Wilson Bentley.? They are all in the book.? Also, see your picture on Plate 15.
Best regards, Duncan C. Blanchard, 8 Oct 1998
THINK SNOW! This book is a little warped, but it is in the same condition as I
received it.

Vermont Life from Winter 1948 - featuring Bentley

NUMEROUS newspaper articles about Bentley or written by Bentley

Articles:

Every Snowball an Art Gallery - Popular Science Monthly - no date.

There are some newspaper articles that are in tattered condition- mainly the
edges of the articles. They are in the condition in which I acquired them.

Book:
Water Wonders, Every Child Should Know Dew, Frost, Snow, Ice and Rain by Jean M.
Thompson 1907.? It is autographed by Jean Thompson - "Compliments of Jean M.
Thompson
April 25th 07"? This book is illustrated by Bentley and inside it says: "I am
greatly indebted to Mr. Wilson A. Bentley for valuable assistance in the
arrangement of this book, and particularly for permission to reproduce the
microphotographs."

There is another book from the early 1900's that he illustrated - I do not have the information with me, but will provide it to any prospective buyer.

I also have a large envelope of family photographs taken from the home of Mary Brunnell - Mrs. Alric Bentley. Wilson Bentley is not in any photo and I'm unsure of the date in which these photographs were taken. I can't guarantee that these are Bentley family photographs. I only know that they were from the home of Mary Brunnell Bentley.

It is rare to see this much Bentley memorabilia for sale. I searched for years before I was able to obtain this collection. This collection was taken to the Antiques Roadshow and ALMOST made the January 07 show. The producer chose not to put the collection on television because "you know too much" There was nothing the appraiser could tell me about the collection that I didn't already know; therefore, there was no real "shock" factor. I was sad - wanted more to know of Bentley and a January showing would have been so fitting.

Best wishes to all!

Just wondering the status on this...why would you want to get rid of such amazing things? Also, interested in those photos...considering Snowflake Bentley is my relative I am wondering who those lovely people are that you just can't place.
