Happy Birthday “Snowflake” Bentley!
We hope you’re enjoying the new year! To celebrate Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley’s 156th birthday, we recorded a reading (see below) of the “Snowflake Bentley” children’s book by Jacqueline Briggs Martin and illustrated by Mary Azarian. We hope you enjoy this special birthday celebration.
The reading was done by none other than Sue Richardson, the great-grandniece of “Snowflake” Bentley. She narrates the Caldecott award-winning children’s book next to the famed camera and microscope. The camera is on display at the Old Red Mill in Jericho, Vermont.
If you are a teacher looking for a winter project, you may think about asking your students to view this recorded reading as a winter assignment to discuss in class.
If you are a parent of young ones, this recording can also serve as a great bedtime story.
We hope you enjoyed this recording as much as we enjoyed making it. If you’d like to obtain a copy of the book, you can visit the Official Online Gift Shop for Snowflake Bentley products, Vermont Snowflakes.
We wish you the best and a great 2021!
